Black Lives Matter’s (BLM) activist and former leader, DeRay, hit Fox News Host Judge Jeanie Pirro with a lawsuit after her report on the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, protest where rocks were hurled at police officers. Judge Jeanie called out DeRay specifically in her report, declaring him the leader of the charge on police officers. DeRay insists that Judge Jeanine lied about what took place and that she has somehow put him in danger. Here is what you should know about the lawsuit and protest in question.
DeRay Tweet before the lawsuit.
.@JudgeJeanine, I was found not guilty & I didn't direct any violence. In fact, I was protesting the violence of the police. Stop lying. pic.twitter.com/c1D4SM0VlB

According to Ander Hagstrom with Daily Caller:
Black Lives Matter activist DeRay McKesson sued Fox News host Jeanine Pirro Tuesday, claiming she defamed him on national television by saying he’d incited violence against police.
McKesson’s action is one of a series of lawsuits stemming from BLM protests in Louisiana against 2016 shooting of Alton Sterling. McKesson, who was arrested at the protest but had his charges dismissed, received more than $100,000 in damages from Baton Rouge police, according to the New York Daily News.
As Reported By Chris Enloe with The Blaze:
Why is Mckesson suing?
Mckesson alleges that while Pirro was on “Fox & Friends” on Sept. 29 discussing a lawsuit filed by a Louisiana cop against Black Lives Matter, the Fox host lied about Mckesson, according to TMZ.
Specifically, Mckesson takes issue with the fact that Pirro directly blamed him for a series of violent protests that happened after a black man, Alton Sterling, was shot dead by Baton Rouge, Louisiana, police in July 2016.
“In this particular case, DeRay Mckesson, the organizer, actually was directing people, was directing the violence,” Pirro said on Fox News. “You’ve got a police officer who was injured, he was injured at the direction of DeRay Mckesson.”
