Game Of Thrones Final Season Delay, Explained.
Fans are of GoT (Game of Thrones) disappointed to hear the final season may not air until 2019. While, there were some delays getting season 7 out, mainly because of weather, season 8, the final season, may not release to viewers until late-2018 to mid-2019.

While this isn’t anything true fans want to hear, there are actually a few good explanations for the lag in the release. Firstly, The movie quality show doesn’t want to poorly taper off their ending by rushing production. Which is pretty common in most finales where shows slap together terrible ending that leave fans upset.
Secondly, the script just isn’t complete. It should be noted that even though this will be the final season it isn’t the end as the show has already prepared several prequel spin-offs. So you can expect a quality ending and more from GoT!

As Reported By James Hibberd With EW.
As for the production length, GoT showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss first told EW they plan to spend a year and a half making the final season. EW also first reported that GoT might not return to 2019. With production not wrapping until summer, a 2019 rollout seems like an increasingly sure bet given the extensive amount of post-production required for the fantasy hit. Plus HBO’s other big splashy genre title Westworld is returning after nearly two years sometime in 2018 — there’s no premiere date yet — so it’s a good bet HBO will put its spotlight on the badass bots next year while focusing its Game of Thrones efforts on promoting season 7 for that fall’s Emmy consideration.
