Texas Campus Student Editorial: White People “Your DNA Is An Abomination”

Texas College Student Writes Anti White Editorial

Texas University puts out a newspaper/ news website called the University star where almost any student can be published. In this case, a guest student writer went too far. College Editorials are supposed to express a person’s opinion and share a viewpoint that may be controversial but in this case, the Student’s editorial crossed the line into violence inciting racially charged hate speech. “The original intent of the column was to comment on the idea of race and racial identities.”

A photo of the article tweeted below:

The first sentence was a precursor to what was obviously going to be racist drivel. “Now I am become white, destroyer of worlds.” The article just gets worse “Whiteness in the United States is a construct used to perpetuate a system of racist power.”

The racist author Rudy Martinez claims that of all his encounters with white people maybe a dozen he would consider decent. He goes on to bash The United States as well because apparently, a racist post is not complete without some hatred of the nation that allows you to openly bash it. “..with an allegiance to a country that was never great.” A country that he claims does its best to kill off minorities.

Martinez does not only hate the US, and white people but the police as well who he calls the “fascist foot soldiers,” I would take a guess Martinez must be one of those BLM supporters/sympathizers. His most hateful bit comes at the end where he writes:

“White death will mean liberation for all…” I hate you because you shouldn’t exist you are both the dominant apparatus on the planet and the void in which all other cultures, upon meeting you, die.”

The editor claims that he takes responsibility for the content that is published but clearly needs to start checking to make sure this doesn’t occur again. The editor can not in good faith say he read that and thought that it wasn’t racist. But maybe I’m wrong. Maybe the editor just agreed with Martinez and only now is backpedaling as he sees through public outcry that it should never have been posted regardless of their racist feelings towards white people.

The University made a statement in response to the article and the public outrage.

Dear Bobcat Community,

I am deeply troubled by the racist opinion column that was published in the November 28, 2017, issue of the University Star titled “Your DNA is an abomination.” The column’s central theme was abhorrent and is contrary to the core values of inclusion and unity that our Bobcat students, faculty, and staff hold dear. As president of a university that celebrates its inclusive culture, I detest racism in any manifestation.

As Reported By Greg Norman, Fox News

“We acknowledge that the column could have been clearer in its message and that it has caused hurt within our campus community,” she said. “We apologize and hope that we can move forward to a place of productive dialogue on ways to bring our community together.”

Andrew Homann, a former Texas State student body president and chief of staff at the Texas Federation of College Republicans, was among the leading critics of the column.

“Just when you think the opinion’s columns in the University Star couldn’t get any worse, they publish this masterpiece and exceed my expectations,” he wrote on a Facebook post Tuesday. “No one is going to take this paper seriously if the editorial board continues to allow baseless garbage to be published week in and week out.”

Twitter users also ripped the newspaper and its response.

“After reading this I’m embarrassed for my University! I would not be okay if this was written in any other context, I made many friends from different cultures,” one wrote.

“I expect a better response and repercussions,” said another, in a message directed to the school’s president.
