Home DayCare Provider Drugs Children.
Daycare providers are a necessity for many American families with both parents working in order to get by. These unlucky parents entrusted their kids to the wrong woman.
January Neatherlin, 32, was in charge of watching children but she had what she felt were much more pressing things to do, like get a tan and go to the gym. So these toddlers who she had been entrusted to take care of were in the way as far as she was concerned. So naturally, instead of hiring someone to watch the kids while she attended to her appearance, she found an easier way. She could keep the money that would be required for another sitter and just buy some melatonin to drug the children to sleep.
Police were notified of her bad behavior from an ex-boyfriend and a former roommate. According to the Police, she had told parents that they were not allowed to pick up the kids between 11 and 2. As that was “Nap time,” aka Cross fit and tan time. So this was a chronic issue.

Parents at the sentencing were more than a little unhappy
“She repeatedly administered a sleeping agent to a room full of infants, toddlers, and children and drove off in her car to fulfill her narcissistic needs. There is no room in our society for monsters like this. January has no respect for human life,”
“She is a danger to society and all of our children,” the mother said. “She cannot be rehabilitated. She is and always will be a habitual offender.”
“In my opinion, your honor, 100 years would not be enough for this person,” he said. “There is no place in this world for monsters like January.”
It was revealed through further investigations that she was not only negligent by drugging the children. She also failed to attend to them properly, as multiple children were hurt while in her care. In some cases, her mistreatment caused parents a whole load of trouble when the parents were unable to explain injuries to medical professionals.
“January Neatherlin was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in February to 11 counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment and a count of third-degree assault.” She was sentenced to 21 years and 4 months in prison.
