Libs PANIC After A Clueless Biden Undercuts His Student Loan Scam

Not only did Biden give a gaffe-laden interview to “60 Minutes,” he undercut his own rationale for his student loan scam.

In August, the Biden administration argued that the student loan bailout was necessary because of the pandemic.

From Bloomberg Law:

Back in August, Bidenโ€™s lawyers argued with half-straight faces that the 2003 HEROES Act โ€” which, as Bloomberg Lawย has noted, was passed not as a generalized enabling act but โ€œto help borrowers serving in the military in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacksโ€ โ€” could be twisted to apply to any national emergency, including pandemics such as Covid-19. This, of course, was nonsense. Among the specific problems with Bidenโ€™s argument was that the 2003 HEROES Act does not cover debt cancelation (i.e., transference to taxpayers); that its โ€œdirect economic hardshipโ€ language does not allow for mass relief; that the application of its โ€œor national emergencyโ€ language clearly violates the major questions doctrine; and that the administrationโ€™s insistence that the act was designed to allow the executive branch โ€œto act quickly should a situation arise that has not been consideredโ€ was flatly contradicted by the fact that the president waited until two-and-a-half years into the pandemic before acting, and then gave relief to the most privileged people in America. But, even if one were to ignore all that, one could still not get past the fact that the powers to which Biden laid claim can be applied only when there is an active emergency, and that the active emergency Biden is citing has now passed.

That has all changed now since the 60 minutes interview when Biden declared the pandemic over.

โ€œThe pandemic is over,โ€ the president told Scott Pelley as they talked last week at the Detroit Auto Show. โ€œWe still have a problem with Covid. Weโ€™re still doing a lot of work on it โ€ฆ but the pandemic is over. if you notice, no oneโ€™s wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape. And so I think itโ€™s changing.โ€

If there is no emergency, then there is no reason for student loans to be forgiven.

The left is well aware of this, and they are trying to squash what Biden said.
