Aviation Survival Technician Second Class Zach Loesch is an American hero.
During the hurricane, Loesch kicked through a wall to rescue a disabled woman and her husband. After he safely got the couple out of the residence, he went back into the home and attached her wheelchair to his body as he was hoisted back into the chopper.
The rescue was so moving that the White House thought Biden should speak with him, and the President bragged about it.
“I told him how proud of him I was and thanked him for all the work he and his Coasties are doing to save lives,” Biden said of his call to Aviation Survival Technician Second Class Zach Loesch.
The White House officially touted the call as well.
“The President thanked them for saving lives and asked for a report on the work that continues to rescue Floridians. He also asked if they needed any additional support that he can provide to accelerate successful rescues; they indicated they have gotten what they need to execute their vital mission,” it said.
However, Joe is kicking Loesch out of the service because he is unvaccinated.
The American hero submitted a request for religious accommodation but was denied. As a matter of fact, the Coast denied all requests for religious accommodation.
“If I had asked any of the people I saved yesterday if they wanted to come with me even though I am unvaccinated, every single one of them would have said ‘yes,’” he said.
A further example of Loesch’s professionalism is when he said he didn’t want to bring up his pending discharge to Biden because he is the commander-in-chief.
“It just sucks that he thanked me yet the vaccine mandate is what’s kicking me out,” he said. “I just love my job and I’m really good at it. It sucks. I feel like this is the job that I was born to do.”
The Coast Guard recently released videos of their crews conducting rescues. The videos below were people trapped on Sanibel Island because hurricane Ian washed away the causeway.
