Biden Is Hiding Something Big: Leaves Local Officials Desperate After Critical Data Disappears

Folks the media just did what Rush Limbaugh would call “a random act of journalism.”

A New York Times piece highlights the frustration state and local experts have and that the CDC has been sandbagging important data needed to make decisions.

From the New York Times:

When the C.D.C. published the first significant data on the effectiveness of boosters in adults younger than 65 two weeks ago, it left out the numbers for a huge portion of that population: 18- to 49-year-olds, the group least likely to benefit from extra shots, because the first two doses already left them well-protected.

So why hasn’t the CDC published the data?

According to Kristen Nordlund, spokeswoman for the CDC the data is “basically, at the end of the day, it’s not yet ready for prime time.”

The Times reported that the lack of overall data from the CDC has forced state and local officials to depend on information from other countries like Israel.

More from the Times:

Much of the withheld information could help state and local health officials better target their efforts to bring the virus under control. Detailed, timely data on hospitalizations by age and race would help health officials identify and help the populations at highest risk. Information on hospitalizations and death by age and vaccination status would have helped inform whether healthy adults needed booster shots.

According to the CDC, they have been hesitant to release the data because they are worried it “might be misinterpreted as the vaccines being ineffective.”

Public health experts like Jessica Malaty Rivera told the Times she just wants data and that it would help build back trust with the public.

Incredibly the Times even wrote about how officials in Scotland made changes to how they report data.

To keep the fact-checkers and naysayers happy we are going to continue to quote directly from the NYT’s piece:

Concern about the misinterpretation of hospitalization data broken down by vaccination status is not unique to the C.D.C. On Thursday, public health officials in Scotland said they would stop releasing data on Covid hospitalizations and deaths by vaccination status because of similar fears that the figures would be misrepresented by anti-vaccine groups.

Dr. Paul Offit, adviser to the FDA and vaccine expert said, “Tell the truth, present the data. I have to believe that there is a way to explain these things so people can understand it.”
The report is actually a plea from loyal Democrat health officials to give them the data so make decisions without looking as incompetent as Joe. They are also signaling that they’ll make sure to spin the data in Joe’s favor.
