26 Dead In The Deadliest Church Shooting In History

Church House Massacre Leaves 26 Dead And Many Wounded.

Texas’s First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs was the site of a tragedy today as a sick individual decided to open fire on the church.  The church was assaulted at 11:20 am this morning. The shooter, Devin Kelley 26, parked his vehicle at the gas station across the street before walking over and opening fire on the church.

26 have been reported dead so far but many others were also injured during this incident. The Pastor’s 14-year-old daughter was among the 26 killed in the incident. The victims’ names have not been released but we do know their ages varied significantly from young children to the elderly.

You have to appreciate the right to bear arms in this situation. After Devin shot up the Church he was fired upon as he exited by a concerned citizen. Devin tried to escape and a car chase ensued with the concerned citizen in hot pursuit. The police are not sure if the shooter shot himself or if the concerned citizen performed a community service. But Devin was found dead in his vehicle. His vehicle contained many more weapons, and he could have been planning additional attacks.

Sutherland Springs is a rural, “tight-knit community” about 30 miles from San Antonio.

What the heck is wrong with people?

The number of mass shootings in this country is getting out of hand. It seems like every couple days now some random person is killing a large number of people as if there is some sort of psychopathic trophy to be won. They say that the separation of church from school was a good thing. I think maybe we need to start instilling some sort of moral values in people because they are not getting it at home.  Apparently, there are too many people that think that if their lives suck or whatever emotionally unstable issue they are dealing with, somehow makes it ok to take their Baggage out on the general public with Bullets.

Why are parents or families so surprised, have we become that devoid of feelings as a society that we can’t see when someone is in pain? Or are we babying our kin to the point where we can’t tell them that they need to get help because we might hurt their feelings. There must have been some sort of warning signs. We need to start treating our fellow man better because at some point someone should have been able to sit this guy down and shut this nonsense down. Our apathy is starting to cost lives.

As Reported By Dakin Adone, Kaylee Hartung, CNN News

The FBI is on the scene of the shooting, according to Michelle Lee, spokeswoman for the FBI’s San Antonio field office. Agents from the San Antonio field office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives are en route to the scene, a law enforcement source said.
About 100 family members of victims gathered in a community center next to the church, waiting for news of their loved ones, 26-year-old David Flores told CNN. Local law enforcement, the FBI, and the Red Cross were also at the community center.
“My dad saw the gunman run into the church building and then he heard shots and saw people running,” Flores told CNN. “People covered in blood and screaming. It was pandemonium everywhere.”
“Looking around, it’s very sorrowful and the pastors from all the local churches right now are just trying to console everybody,” said Flores when asked to describe the scene inside the community center.
“There were several children injured,” he said. “I know three, personally, who are in critical condition.”
