What’s This Budget Bill That Slipped In Last Minute?

Last Minute Budget Bill Signed By Trump

It is the job of Congress and the Senate to look over bills before they vote on them. It is crucial to the Democratic process that our Senators/Congressman do their job. So then why is it that lawmakers recently pushed through a last-minute 1.3 Trillion budget bill that almost none of them even looked at. Well except for Senator Rand Paul.

Trump explained that he too was upset about the overwhelming size of the budget bill as well the last minute nature in which it passed. But he ultimately signed it in because the Budget bill helped the military.

Rand read the bill and reported/tweeted some of the figures seen in the bill.

1m for the Cultural Antiquities Task Force
$6.25m for the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation
$20m for Countering Foreign State Propaganda
$12m for Countering State Disinformation and Pressure

$5m for Vietnam Education Foundation Grants

$15m to USAID for promoting international higher education between universities

Watch Rand Paul On The Last Minute Bill.

Rand Paul read through 600 pages out of 2232 and found that the bill spends way too much money.

Do you think all of these expenses are warranted?
