Tucker Carlson put Senator Ted Cruz in his place over his comments surrounding 1/6.
“We are approaching a solemn anniversary this week,” Cruz said. “And it is an anniversary of a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol, where we saw the men and women of law enforcement demonstrate incredible courage, incredible bravery, risk their lives to defend the men and women who served in this Capitol.”
“We are grateful for that courage, we appreciate the selfless sacrifice of the men and women who keep us safe,” Cruz added.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson put Cruz right in his place.
“Of all the things January 6 was, it was definitely not a violent terrorist attack. It wasn’t an insurrection,” Carlson said. “Was it a riot? Sure. It was not a violent terrorist attack. Sorry. So why are you telling us it was, Ted Cruz?”
“What the hell’s going on here? You’re making us think, maybe the Republican Party is as worthless as we suspected it was. That can’t be true. Reassure us, please, Ted Cruz,” Carlson continued.

Now compare what Cruz said to the words from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
While Biden and Harris were speaking DeSantis was giving a press conference and was asked about the events in DC memorializing 1/6. The governor said that January 6th is “not something that most Floridians have been concerned about.” He also said the events taking place today in the Capitol will be “nauseating.”
Even Senator Marco Rubio who dances back and forth between rhino and conservative did a better job than Cruz.
In a video post, Rubio called out the left and called them hypocrites.
“Get ready to witness the shameless hypocrisy of the far left politicians & liberal activists masquerading as journalists who downplayed & excused riots & looting during the summer of 2020,” Rubio said.
There’s a reason Ted Cruz didn’t win the Republican nomination in 2016 and there is a reason why he won’t win it in 2024.
