Now that Kevin McCarthy is Speaker of the House, the gloves are off. He has always been a strong critic of failed President Joe Biden. But now that he has the gavel, his words carry even more weight. Biden is starting off the year, trying to hide the many failures of his first two years in office.
But these problems arenโt going away. In fact, they are getting worse. Biden and his cronies and trying to get Americans to forget just how badly they are leading. Americans arenโt fooled. And neither is McCarthy. And just hours before Joeโs big night, McCarthy reveals just how badly Joeโs failures have hurt Americans.
From Daily Wire:
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) tore into President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats in a speech Monday night over raising the debt limitโฆ
โโฆ We are now 31 trillion dollars in debt. That is more than the size of the entire American economy. 20 percent more. Our debt is now a greater burden than it has been at any time since World War 2โฆ
โIf we continue down this path, in the next ten years, we will spend over 8 trillion dollars just on interest,โ he continued. โThatโs more than the entire federal budget this year. By a lot.โ
McCarthy exposed just how bad things are getting within the federal government. Joe Biden has blindly burned through trillions of cash. Cash we donโt have. And right now, Biden is demanding Congress raise the debt ceiling, so there will be no limit to his reckless spending.
But McCarthy put old Joe in his place. He revealed to the American public that the federal governmentโs debt is so high, that it is more than the size of the entire American economy. If thatโs not bad enough, he explained that if Biden had his way, the U.S. would be spending the next ten years paying off just the interest of his debt spending.
That would cost us $8 trillion dollars, just on the interest. But Biden doesnโt care. Do you really think heโll be around to see that? Heโs simply writing checks America cannot cash, content in the knowledge that he wonโt take the blame when it comes back to bite us.
Bill Clinton did that. Barack Obama did that. Democrat presidents pass wild spending bills, knowing theyโll be long gone before it hurts the country. Imagine being that irresponsible with your household bills? Youโd be out on the street.
Yet Democrats think they can burn through future Americansโ cash and get away with it. But McCarthy is holding old Joeโs feet to the fire. Democrats refuse to accept responsibility for their reckless spending. But now, they have no choice.
