We are now just a week away from Election Day. The race is currently closer than ever, with Kamala Harris and Donald Trump seemingly neck and neck.
In the final weeks of this race, Harris has noticeably been trying to distance herself from President Joe Biden. She’s done this despite being his vice president and previously saying that she would not change anything about what he’s done while in office.
Biden is reportedly eager to campaign for Harris. Unfortunately for him, however, Harris is reportedly not having any of it.

Why it matters: Harris’ team believes Biden is a political liabilityat a crucial time in the campaign — but is reluctant to directly say they don’t want him to campaign for her.
Given how bad things have gotten in Biden-Harris’ America, this comes as no surprise. Indeed, it makes sense that Harris would want voters to forget that she’s been second-in-command in one of the worst administrations of all time.
Under the Biden-Harris regime, the economy has gone to shambles, and inflation has skyrocketed. Millions of illegal aliens have flooded our borders. Meanwhile, millions of real Americans are struggling just to put food on the table.
Harris Has Been Standing By Biden
Despite their many failures, Harris has stood by everything that the Biden-Harris administration has done. Earlier this month, while appearing on the ABC talk show The View, Harris was asked, “If anything, would you have done something differently than President Biden during the past four years?”

“There is not a thing that comes to mind,” she replied.
Now that the race is as close it is as we enter the final stretch, however, it appears that Harris wants to distance herself from Biden as much as ever.
Perhaps she also doesn’t want to be associated with the apparent cognitive failings that come to light whenever Biden opens his mouth these days. Harris wants voters to forget that she spent years hiding Biden’s seeming cognitive decline from the world. She pushed the narrative that Biden is mentally sound. Like her fellow Democrats, Harris argued that any claims that Biden is mentally impaired in any way were nothing more than rightwing conspiracies.
Unfortunately for Harris, she could no longer protect Biden when he had to debate Donald Trump back in June. Alone on the debate stage, Biden floundered and exposed his apparent cognitive failings to the world. In doing so, he also exposed Harris as the shameless liar that she is. If she couldn’t be trusted to tell the American people the truth about Biden’s cognitive state, how could Harris be trusted to be president?
Harris can try to distance herself from Biden now all that she wants to, but the damage has already been done. In the end, the American people aren’t as dumb as she thinks we are. We aren’t just going to forget the damage that Harris and Biden have done to this country together.
