The Justice Department has stated that the release of the text messages between FBI agent, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page, a lawyer involved in the Meuller investigation, was ‘unauthorized’. Does this mean that a ‘leak’, that will actually benefit President Trump, could see some investigation time? That’s my prediction. All of the previous leaks to surface,ย against the Trump administration, went with little or no mention from the Justice Department. Uncover a little swamp grime and collusion and now they chime in? Is there even such a thing as an ‘authorized leak’? Seems a little bias if you ask me. Here is some information for you to thumb through.

ย Business Insider: The Department of Justice acknowledged in a statement on Thursday night that copies of private text messages exchanged between two former special-counsel investigators were disclosed to certain members of the media before they were given to Congress, even though those disclosures “were not authorized.”

Sarah Isgur Flores, a DOJ spokeswoman,ย told Politicoย that the text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were given to key members of the House Judiciary Committee the night before Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s public testimony on Wednesday.

The DOJ’s Public Affairs division shared the same messages with a group of reporters after they were shared with the lawmakers, Flores said. But some members of the media “had already received copies.”

“As we understand now, some members of the media had already received copies of the texts before that โ€” but those disclosures were not authorized by the department,” she said.

As Reported By Carlos Garcia with The Blaze:

The Department of Justice is admitting that theย release of private textsย from FBI official Peter Strzok to reportersย was โ€œunauthorized,โ€ย and some think it could become a criminal offense.

What happened?

On Wednesday, Fox News and CBS News reportedย that they had โ€œobtainedโ€ ten thousand textsย from Peter Strzok, the FBI official who has been at the center of allegations thatย the FBI has been biased againstย President Trump.

โ€œCBS News has obtained text messages that former Special Counsel investigator Peter Strzok sent to a senior FBI lawyer who was working with Robert Muellerโ€™s team,โ€ CBS tweeted.

They added, โ€œthese texts resulted in Strzokโ€™s dismissal by Mueller and reassignment to FBI HR.โ€

Theย texts showed general scornย for Trump and his supporters in the run up to the election…
