A few months ago, Manhattan’s new District Attorney dumped the prosecutor who was in charge of the investigation probing former President Donald Trump. The investigation truly was a witch hunt and it was so steeped in bias the new AG didn’t want anything to do with it.
After the prosecutor was forced to resign the DA’s office still gave the left a glimmer of hope stating that they would continue the grand jury probe.
Well, the grand jury is over now as well and the DA is turning the page.
A special grand jury that had been hearing evidence in the criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump expires at the end of the week and will not be extended, sources familiar with the matter confirmed to ABC News.
The special grand jury was empaneled last fall, but had stopped hearing evidence once Alvin Bragg became district attorney in Manhattan in January, raising questions about the strength of the case and whether prosecutors had amassed all the elements required to prove it.
We reported in early March that the left was already licking its wounds after the Manhattan District Attorney’s office is moving to dump the investigation against former President Donald Trump.
In the fall of 2021, New York City’s former DA announced they were going to accelerate a criminal probe into Trump. In other words, the DA’s office was probing Trump without probable cause and was investigating a private citizen to see if they had committed a crime. A recent report from the mainstream media said that prosecutors were getting close after conducting a grand jury and this time they were going to get Trump once and for all.
Since then NYC elected a new District Attorney, Alvin Bragg and he has his doubts about the case that prosecutors Carey Dunnes and Mark Pomerantz want to take to trial. According to multiple reports, Bragg is realizing that his two prosecutors are political hacks and are conducting a Salem witch trial-style probe instead of a proper investigation.
Bragg’s predecessor had accelerated the probe last fall, empaneling a grand jury and receiving much fanfare, especially from the media-sphere. Once Bragg took office, the case appeared to be moving ahead as planned, but these resignations testify to some kind of major internal shift. If Bragg was now expressing doubts about the case moving forward, that signals that he doesn’t believe the evidence is there for a conviction.
So it turns out those prosecutors who resigned over the Trump criminal probe in NY are political hacks who just couldn’t cope with the fact their case was crap. https://t.co/HuhPV2ieqb
We all know that these investigations like the January 6th commission are just theater to try and keep Trump from running in 2024. Speaking of January 6th and New York Times reporter fell victim to an undercover sting and here’s what he had to say.
