Demographic Change In Gun Rights Blindsides Democrats

Democrats have been blindsided.

A poll from the Washington Post showing Americans do not support strict gun control laws has frozen the party.

In 2018, 65% of those from ages 18-19 approved of strict gun control laws like “red flag” laws and limits on magazine capacity. However, after a pandemic and a summer of crazy riots that number has dropped to 45%.

What has Democrats stunned is that minority populations are not in favor of their draconian gun control policy.

From the Newsweek:

The preference for enacting new gun laws aimed at reducing firearm violence has dropped by 7 percent overall since the last corresponding survey was conducted in April 2018. Percentage drops were seen in nearly every demographic divide. In that time period, 20 percent of Hispanics pulled back from supporting new gun laws, falling to 50 percent. An increase in rural Americans also now say they want no new gun restrictions, down 17 points to 30 percent.

After the pandemic and the defund the police movement people are trying to find ways to protect themselves.

The Defund the Police narrative is also blindsiding Democrats as violence in blue run cities is exploding.

“Democrats across the country spent the last year defunding police departments, so they shouldn’t be surprised when voters hold them responsible for the spike in violent crime,” said Mike Berg, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Democrats are worried that their “woke” colleagues are pulling them down.

“What bothers them [pro-Biden Democrats] most about the ‘woke’ Democrat is they’re putting ideology ahead of winning,” the Democratic operative said. “And to a lot of Democrats, it should be about winning, because if you win, you can put in place the things you are talking about.”

And there it is! Democrats are only concerned with winning and once they’ve won they are going to drive neighborhoods into the ground.
