Congressional Candidate Under Investigation After #OneLessGun Stunt.

The #Onelessgun movement was painful to watch. The social trend where Gullibleย gun owners would use a saw, a blowtorch or some sort of tool to destroy their legallyย obtained weapons. The ridiculous gun owners would then claim that they were destroying their weapons so that their guns would never again have the ability to hurt someone. So apparently they had never heard of trigger locks, gun safes or just being responsible adults and taking care of their possessions.

The Attentions seeking Candidate, Karen Mallard now former gun owner, used a saw to cut apart her AR-15.

Watch Her Cut Up Her AR-15 Below.

Mallard who has been a teacher for 30 years feels Congress needs people like her and her Gun reform perspective.

Our job is to teach children. It’s not to protect them from gun violence. That is the government’s job, and they’re failing at it,” said Mallard.

But while she was trying to prove that she was Anti-Gun trendy and supposedly cared enough to destroy her gun, she may have done more than just make a paperweight, she may have inadvertentlyย broken the law.

Many people that watcherย her cut up her gun cited a sawed-off shotgun/rifle statute:

ย Possession or use of aย “sawed-off” shotgun or “sawed-off” rifle for any other purpose, except asย permitted by this article and official use by those persons permitted possession byย ยง 18.2-303,ย is a Class 4 felony.
The critics, in this case, are right she did make herself a sawed-off rifle even if it was her intention to destroy it. But she did turn the cut up bits of the AR-15 over to the police. She responded to her critics:
And yes for all the NRA trolls out there, I finished the job according to regulation and turned it over to the police. Why are you more outraged about me taking a gun out of circulation than about our children being murdered in our schools?”
I just don’t see how destroying your own weapon stops someone else from murdering people.
The ATF is currently looking into Mallard’s sawed-off/ destroyed rifle situation.
