Some big names in the media were forced to correct their stories in which they claimed investigators had subpoenaed President Donald Trump’s financial records from a Germanย bank. The full claim was that Special Counselย Robert Meuller sent a subpoena to the German bank to investigate the Trump family.ย Bloomberg,ย the Wall Street Journal, as well as a few smaller news media sites had to put out a correction to this bogus claim after Sarah Sanders set them all straight.

Sarah is absolutelyย right, the media is constantly going too far too fast resulting in more lies and fake news spilling out to the public! While we know they wanted this to be true, they cannot just pull crap out of the air and call it news. Maybe if they spent less time criticisingย Sarah Sanders and more time researching their facts she wouldn’t have to make them look foolish so often. Say what you will, Sanders has an impossible job. The disrespectful press, comedians, and late night show hosts can talk poorly about the Press Secretary but the factย is none of them could handle doing her job. I know I wouldn’t want to.ย

Watch.

As Reported By John Carney With Breitbart:

Several major news organizations were forced to provide corrections or clarifications on stories that initiallyย claimed investigators had subpoenaed Donald Trumpโ€™s financial records from a German bank.

After an initial report about a subpoena from the German daily Handelsblatt,ย Bloomberg,ย The Wall Street Journal, and other news outlets reported that Deutsche Bank had received a subpoena from Special Counsel Robert Mueller targeting Trump and his familyโ€™s bank records. Those reports were disputed by White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Trumpโ€™s personal lawyer.

โ€œWe confirmed that the news reports that the special counsel had subpoenaed financial records related to the president are completely false,โ€ Sanders said during the White Houseโ€™s daily press conference. โ€œNo subpoena has been issued or received. We have confirmed this with the bank and other sources. I think this is another example of the media going too far and too fast and we donโ€™t see it going in that direction.โ€

โ€œWe have confirmed that the news reports that the Special Counsel had subpoenaed financial records relating to the president are false. No subpoena has been issued or received. We have confirmed this with the bank and other sources,โ€ Trump lawyer John Dowd wrote in an email.

Instead of targeting Trump or his familyโ€™s records, the subpoenas were aimed at records that pertain to people or organizations affiliated with the president, according to the corrected stories.
