Texas Police Officers Met With Adversity During Their Break.
A Popular Texas Fast Food Chain, Whataburger, shocked two Texas Police Officers with their lack of hospitality and beyond rude behavior. The Officers working an overnight shift, came upon the restaurant early Saturday morning well before any other establishments were open.
Upon requesting service Sgt Kuhn and Jenkins were met with hostility. The employee immediately cursed at the officers and told them that she would not serve them. She said, “Cops beat up my boyfriend and they are racists.” The officers were appalled by this and when a manager was requested, he did not aid the officers but instead apathetically said: “I don’t get into Politics.” The rude employee also stated that she would refuse any and all Cops in the future. The Officers acquired the name of the hostile employee and illy trained manager before leaving.
The Chief of police responded Saturday on Facebook expressing his outrage.
“What really gets my goat with such an incident is that while most of us are sleeping – sleeping!, the officers are out there working hard to keep us safe and when trying to take a break to eat – they face this type of reception from an employee of a local business and management calls it “politics?”
The Chief Saturday went on to say that Officers will no longer have to worry about such behavior as they have been instructed to avoid the Anti Police Restaurant.
“Even though this one business accepts employees that refuse to serve and then curse cops, I guarantee you when they call 9-1-1 and need us, we’ll come running. That’s what cops do.” The Chief stated reminding the public of his honorable duty.
In a positive turn of events, Today Whataburger has made amends and fired the hostile employee. The Corporate Office has reached out and been in close contact with the Dennison Police Department. Whataburger has apologized profusely and plans to retrain their employees. The Chief has been overjoyed to see that the local community rose to the occasion and supported the Police department. Many suggested Boycotting the Fast Food establishment or welcomed the Officers to their eateries.
The Police Chief although originally dismayed said he is now willing to give Whataburger another chance and hopes others in the community will too.

The chief said a supervisor went to the restaurant afterward and spoke to the employee.
The employee alleged “cops beat up my boyfriend and are racists,” Burch said. He added that the woman told the supervisor her boyfriend was “beat up” when Denison officers arrested him a few weeks ago.
Burch said the supervisor went to the station and found the documentation of the arrest and then reviewed the video of the arrest from the arresting officer’s dash cam.
“It was a ‘routine’ arrest,” Burch said. “There was no physical altercation and no one injured. So the employee was simply lying about her boyfriend getting ‘beat up’ by police.”
