Karen Spence Shows Support For United States Veterans.
Second Lady, Mrs. Spence, took time out to visit the New Directions for Veterans (NDVets) in Los Angeles, California. She was accompanied by Mrs. Hollyanne Milley, The wife of Army’s Chief of Staff, General Mark Milley. The two were met by the facility’s director and was given an overview of the available programs, including art therapy.
During the visit, Karen Pence spent a few precious moment with the veterans during their art therapy as they showed the Second Lady their work. The visit was a huge success as Mrs. Spence gushed praise over the program.
“Art therapy is a unique mental health treatment that gives our military service members and veterans the opportunity to heal. I applaud New Directions for Veterans for their dedication and commitment to improving lives,” Karen Spence stated.
