Dems Get Their Clocks Cleaned! Lose Blue Stronghold In Special Election

The Democrats have lost another stronghold and it wasn’t even close.

Republcian Jon Dunwell won a special election for the Iowa House flipping a district that has been a blue stronghold for decades.

The former pastor beat Democrat Steve Mullan with 60% of the vote.

“Thank you, Jasper County, for putting your faith in me to be your voice in the Iowa Statehouse,” he said in the statement. “Throughout this campaign, I have had the honor of hearing from so many of you — those who agreed with me and those who offered opposing viewpoints. I have learned so much and am eager to get to work representing each and every one of you.”

Top Republicans in the state congratulated Dunwell for his crushing victory.

The Democrats have held the district for 46 years and the election wasn’t even close! Let’s go Brandon!!!

Even the puppet at CNN, Chris Cillizza is pointing out that Democrat retirements that are being announced in the House shows that the party knows they are in deep trouble.

Unlike, the Republicans the Democrats impose no term limits for a Congressman to serve as chairman of a committee. Recently, Rep. John Yarmuth, 75, Chairman of the House Budget Committee announced that he is going to retire.

“Truth be told, I never expected to be in Congress this long. I always said I couldn’t imagine being here longer than 10 years,” Yarmuth said in a video posted on Twitter. “After every election, I was asked how long I intended to serve, and I never had an answer. Today, I do. This term will be my last.”

Traditionally, if a President’s party has the majority they lose seats in the first midterm as Trump and Obama did. Those loses are usually multiplied when a presidents approval rating is below 50% and Joe Biden is hovering around the low 40s depending on which poll you read.

The Democrats have a three seat majority and losing traditional blue strongholds like the one in Iowa shows America is already fed up.
